Mouse muscle creatine kinase (CK-M) is a 43 kDa dimeric enzyme that targets the reversible transfer of a phosphate group between ATP and creatine, sustaining ATP homeostasis during muscle contraction. Its active-site arginine and cysteine residues present a unique, species-restricted epitope ideal for antibody generation; anti-CK-M immunoreagents detect both cytoplasmic and released enzyme in tissue homogenates, sera and cultured myotubes without cross-reacting with brain or mitochondrial isoforms, providing a precise read-out of skeletal and cardiac muscle integrity.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
