Rabbit Anti-Mouse Apolipoprotein F (APOF) Polyclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for mouse apolipoprotein F. It is purified by protein A. It can be applied to WB and IHC assays of mouse apolipoprotein F.
Specifications
Target Information
Mouse apolipoprotein F (ApoF, lipids transfer inhibitor) is a 35 kDa glycoprotein whose N-terminal cupredoxin-like domain binds a single hydrophobic ligand and docks to HDL, slowing cholesteryl ester transfer to LDL/VLDL. A solvent-exposed 15-aa "KVE" loop (aa 120-134) between β-strands 6 and 7 folds into a β-hairpin unique among mouse apolipoproteins, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after delipidation and fixation. Affinity-purified antibodies targeting this loop trace native ApoF in plasma HDL fractions, hepatic Golgi, and adrenal cortex, delivering crisp vesicular staining and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to ApoA1 or ApoC3.
