In the prevention and treatment of infectious animal diseases, mRNA veterinary vaccines are promising due to their low risk of insertional mutagenesis, high efficacy, and potential for low-cost manufacturing. The three main types of vaccines widely used in veterinary medicine are inactivated, live attenuated, and recombinant subunit vaccines. However, these traditional vaccines have a number of problems associated with safety and efficacy issues. BioVenic provides advanced RNA veterinary vaccine development services, utilizing emerging technologies, and one-stop assistance to help you research veterinary vaccines with more modern technological advantages.

mRNA Veterinary Vaccine Platforms

Non-amplifying mRNA vaccines and self-amplifying mRNA vaccines are two different types of mRNA veterinary vaccines. They have some important differences in vaccine preparation and mechanism. Both mRNA veterinary vaccine development platforms are established by us to fulfill your different research and development needs.

Platforms Non-Amplifying mRNA Veterinary Vaccines Self-Amplifying mRNA Veterinary Vaccines
Description
  • Encodes only antigen expression-related genes.
  • In addition to the sequence containing the gene encoding the antigen, an element has been added that allows for self-amplification of the RNA.
Advantages
  • Easy to manufacture.
  • Relatively more stable.
  • Low dose required.
Limitations
  • High dose required.
  • Relatively more difficult to manufacture.

Our Services

Antigen Discovery

The first step in mRNA veterinary vaccine development is the screening and discovery of target antigens. The selection of specific targets is crucial for veterinary vaccine development. In order to screen for suitable targets, genomic analysis and proteomic analysis of tissue materials are required, and genome sequencing and protein mass spectrometry are utilized to predict, identify, and select suitable targets. BioVenic provides the above services to help you screen and discover targets quickly and efficiently through genomic and proteomic analyses.

mRNA Preparation

BioVenic provides target mRNA synthesis and modification services to enhance the mRNA stability and its protein translation ability for veterinary vaccine development.

Plasmid DNA Template Preparation

Plasmid DNA is used as a template for mRNA. BioVenic offers plasmid preparation and linearized plasmid services according to the target protein gene sequences that are important for infection or replication. Our team provides you with plasmid quality control testing, including residual RNA, endotoxin, superhelix detection, and other items, to ensure that purified plasmid DNA templates satisfy your needs for high quality.

In vitro Transcription of mRNA

In vitro synthesized mRNA is usually synthesized by in vitro transcription using RNA polymerase as a template for linearized plasmid DNA. During the preparation process, BioVenic with extensive experience takes great care to control conditions such as the amounts of raw materials, homogeneity, and temperature of the system. We provide this service to synthesize mRNA complementary to one strand of the template DNA using NTP as a substrate to obtain a large number of mRNA molecules easily and quickly. We also provide modification services to enhance the stability of mRNA by adding a cap structure at the 5' end and a poly A tail at the 3' end.

mRNA Purification

The reaction system residual nucleotides, enzymes, plasmid templates and a variety of other impurities, which will affect the accuracy of subsequent detections and the effect of final products. BioVenic provides comprehensive mRNA purification services to carry out the development of RNA-based veterinary development.

Magnetic Bead Purification
RNA is captured using surface-modified magnetic beads, and then the RNA beads are separated by a magnetic field to remove impurities and purify the RNA.
Lithium Chloride Precipitation
Selective precipitation of mRNA.
Chromatography Purification
Chromatographic purification is a more desirable and suitable method for larger-scale mRNA purification.

BioVenic also performs fine purification services for higher mRNA purity for subsequent trials, such as hydrophobic chromatography, ion-pair reversed-phase chromatography, and ion-exchange chromatography.

mRNA Delivery

As a single-stranded molecule, mRNA has poor structural stability, is easily degraded by nuclease, and is difficult to pass through the same negatively charged lipid bilayer cell membrane, so a safe and efficient delivery system has become the core of mRNA veterinary vaccine development. Liposomes and their derivatives are currently the most widely used. Company utilizes a variety of mRNA delivery technologies in your veterinary mRNA development process, choosing the delivery system for different animal species that best suits your research and development needs.

Veterinary mRNA Vaccine Development Services

BioVenic also offers a range of complementary services to support veterinary mRNA vaccine development. We conduct in vitro assays to assess the efficacy and safety of mRNA vaccines at the cellular level. Additionally, we utilize animal models to evaluate the immunogenicity and overall efficacy of your vaccine samples, providing insights into the vaccine's performance in real biological systems.

Formulation development is a crucial step in ensuring the vaccine's viability under different storage and transportation conditions. By optimizing adjuvants and delivery systems, BioVenic provides high-quality formulations for veterinary mRNA vaccines, enhancing their immunogenicity and stability.

Throughout the entire development process, BioVenic implements rigorous quality control measures to ensure the consistency of veterinary mRNA vaccines and compliance with relevant standards.
