Target Information
Mouse cluster of differentiation 19 (CD19) is a 95-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein exclusively expressed on mouse B lineage cells-from pro-B cells through mature B cells, with absence on plasma cells. It forms a co-receptor complex with CD21 and CD81, enhancing B cell receptor (BCR) signaling upon antigen binding. This interaction promotes B cell activation, proliferation, differentiation into antibody-secreting cells, and germinal center formation, critical for murine adaptive humoral immunity. Dysregulated expression associates with B cell malignancies and autoimmune diseases. As a definitive B cell-specific marker and key mediator of B cell function, mouse CD19 is a critical target for studying immunology, B cell biology, and immunotherapies targeting B cell-related disorders.
