Target Information
Rat ATP5F1B (mitochondrial F1-ATPase β) is a 51 kDa catalytic core subunit whose C-terminal DELSEED loop drives rotary ATP synthesis; an exposed 14-aa "KVE" surface (aa 394-407) forms a β-hairpin unique among rat ATPase subunits. Antibodies to this loop detect native β in inner-membrane particles of liver, heart and brain, giving crisp mitochondrial reticula and single-band blots without cross-reaction to α or γ.
