Target Information

Mouse TRAF1 is a 46 kDa cytosolic scaffold whose N-terminal RING and four zinc fingers dock phosphorylated TNF receptors, assembling E3 ligase platforms for downstream kinase activation. A solvent-exposed 17-aa "KEL" loop (aa 280-296) between fingers 3 and 4 folds into a β-hairpin unique among mouse TRAF paralogs, presenting a fixation-stable epitope absent from TRAF2. Antibodies targeting this loop trace native TRAF1 in splenic B-cell follicles, lung macrophages, and T-cell membranes, delivering crisp cytoplasmic puncta and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to TRAF2 or TRAF3.
