Target Information
Mouse neurotensin is a 13-amino-acid neuropeptide distributed along the gut-brain axis, especially in ileal enteroendocrine cells and hypothalamic nuclei. Released by dietary fat or dopaminergic stimuli, it governs intestinal motility, pancreatic secretion and mesolimbic signaling. Its short half-life and low nanomolar abundance demand high affinity antisera. Validated antibodies detect the native peptide and larger precursor without cross-reactivity to neuromedin N, enabling precise radioimmunoassay, immunofluorescence and colocalization studies of metabolic, neuroendocrine and behavioral responses.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
