Target Information
Mouse midkine, a 13 kDa heparin-binding cytokine, is selectively secreted during development and after injury to bind syndecan and nucleolin receptors, triggering neurite outgrowth, leukocyte trafficking and epithelial repair. Constitutively low in adult brain, kidney and vasculature, it surges in neurons, macrophages and endothelial cells following ischemia, infection or tumor onset, providing a sensitive ELISA, Western blot or IHC target for tracing neuroinflammation, fibrosis and neovascularization in serum, CSF and tissue homogenates .
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
