Target Information
Rat dopamine receptor D2 (D2R) is a 443-aa G-protein-coupled receptor that selectively binds dopamine, targeting Gi/o-mediated inhibition of cAMP synthesis and modulation of Ca²⁺ and K⁺ channels. It is expressed predominantly on striatal, pituitary and limbic membranes, where its seven-transmembrane topology presents a unique, species-restricted epitope ideal for antibody generation; anti-D2R immunoreagents detect native and denatured receptor in brain slices, synaptosomes and transfected cells without cross-reacting with D1, D3, D4 or D5 subtypes, providing a precise read-out of dopaminergic signaling.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
