Specifications
Target Information
Mouse ALDH9A1 is a 494-amino-acid tetrameric enzyme that catalyzes NAD+-dependent oxidation of γ-aminobutyraldehyde and other short-chain aldehydes. The cytosolic protein is abundant in liver, kidney and testis, where it controls flux through the polyamine and proline recycling pathways. A single, strain-invariant epitope spanning residues 294-308 resides on the outer surface of the catalytic dimer, distal from both the active site and cofactor pocket. Antibodies directed to this loop detect native tetramers in tissue homogenates and fixed sections without interfering with enzymatic activity or cross-reacting with any other ALDH isoform.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
