Bovine MMP-9, a 92 kDa zinc-dependent gelatinase, is secreted by neutrophils and mammary epithelium to cleave type IV collagen, elastin and chemokines, enabling extracellular matrix turnover, immune cell recruitment and vascular remodeling in both physiological involution and inflammatory challenges of the udder, providing a sensitive target for ELISA, Western blot or zymographic monitoring of mastitis, laminitis and post-injury fibrosis in serum, milk and tissue homogenates .

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
