Target Information
Mouse cluster of differentiation 4 (CD4) is a 55-kDa transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the surface of mouse T helper cells, regulatory T cells, and subsets of monocytes/macrophages. It functions as a co-receptor for the T cell receptor (TCR), binding MHC class II molecules to enhance T cell activation and signaling. It regulates immune response polarization, cytokine production, and immune tolerance, playing a central role in adaptive immunity. Ubiquitous in mouse lymphoid tissues (spleen, lymph nodes) and inflamed sites, it modulates cellular and humoral immune balance. As a key marker of helper T cell subsets and immune regulation, mouse CD4 is a critical target for studying autoimmune diseases, infectious diseases, and immune-related pathological mechanisms.
