Target Information

Protein Disulfide-Isomerase A4 (PDIA4), also known as carnosine dipeptidase 2, is an enzyme encoded by the PDIA4 gene in cattle. PDIA4 plays a critical role in the endoplasmic reticulum stress (ERS) response. Specifically, it regulates glioblastoma (GBM)-specific pro-angiogenesis. PDIA4 is associated with the secretion of vascular endothelial growth factor-A (VEGF-A) by GBM cells. PDIA4 has been characterized as a crucial regulator of β-cell pathogenesis and diabetes, suggesting PDIA4 is a novel therapeutic and diagnostic target of diabetes.

Target/Biomarker Bovine PDIA4
