Target Information

Bovine Pyruvate Dehydrogenase E1 Component Subunit Alpha, Somatic Form, Mitochondrial is encoded by the PDHA1 gene in cattle. It forms part of the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex, which bridges glycolysis and the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle. In mammalian cells, acetyl-CoA is produced by PDHA1 translocated into the nucleus in special conditions. PDHA1's role in energy production and its link between glycolysis and the TCA cycle make it essential for cellular health.

Target/Biomarker Bovine PDHA1
