Target Information

Prostaglandins have important functions in ovulation, recognition of pregnancy, luteolysis, implantation, decidualization and parturition in ruminants. Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) is a natural prostaglandin with oxytocin effects. Study has shown that COX-2 siRNA can inhibit the secretion of PGF2α, but there was no association between PGE2 concentrations and COX-2 mRNA abundance in goat endometrial epithelial cells.
