Target Information

Bovine Mucin-15 is encoded by the MUC15 gene in cattle. MUC15 is predicted to be located in the Golgi lumen and plasma membrane. Its precise function is not fully understood, but it may play a role in cell adhesion to the extracellular matrix. It is a highly glycosylated protein and it has been associated with the bovine milk fat globule membrane.
