Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Gamma (PPAR-γ), which is also known as the glitazone reverse insulin resistance receptor, is a type II nuclear receptor functioning as a transcription factor. Bovine Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptor Gamma is encoded by the PPARg gene in cattle. It plays a crucial role in glucose and lipid metabolism, adipogenesis, and inflammation. PPARG, along with its lipogenic target genes, is upregulated in bovine mammary tissue during lactation.
