Target Information
Cytochrome c oxidase subunit 7B, mitochondrial is a subunit of cytochrome c oxidase, the terminal enzyme in the mitochondrial electron transport chain. MT-CO3 contributes to electron transfer and proton translocation across the inner mitochondrial membrane, essential for ATP synthesis. It is found within the mitochondrial inner membrane. It is encoded by the bovine gene COX7B. It is associated with platinum-resistance.
