Target Information
Mouse ribonuclease A3 (RNase3) is a 16 kDa secreted RNase whose three-disulfide core shapes a positively charged catalytic cleft that cleaves single-stranded RNA after pyrimidines. A solvent-exposed "CKK" loop (aa 55-63) protrudes from helix 2, presenting a conformational epitope unique among the eight murine RNase A paralogs. Antibodies raised against this loop detect native RNase3 in bone-marrow eosinophil granules, small-intestinal Paneth cells, and released secretions, delivering crisp granular staining and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to RNase1 or RNase2.
