Target Information
Mouse Elastase 2A is a serine protease stored in the azurophil granules of neutrophils and macrophages. Upon release it rapidly degrades elastin, collagen, and bacterial outer-membrane proteins, facilitating tissue remodeling and pathogen clearance. High activity is confined to myeloid cells, making the enzyme a reliable marker of acute inflammation. As a key effector of extracellular matrix turnover, Elastase 2A is an important target for studies of infection, injury repair, and protease-mediated diseases.
Shipping and Storage
This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
