Target Information

Mouse Cluster of Differentiation 83 (CD83) is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on dendritic cells, the most potent antigen-presenting cells. It plays a crucial role in immune regulation by enhancing T cell activation and modulating immune responses. CD83 is also involved in the maturation and function of dendritic cells, influencing their ability to migrate and present antigens. Additionally, it can be shed from the cell surface to form a soluble form that may have immunomodulatory functions. CD83 is an important target for studying dendritic cell biology and immune regulation in mouse models.
