Target Information
Rat Fibulin 1 is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein that bridges elastin, laminins and fibronectin, forming elastic fibers and basement membrane networks. It is constitutively produced by vascular, pulmonary and dermal fibroblasts, where it confers tissue elasticity and tensile strength. Through calcium-binding EGF-like repeats, Fibulin 1 tethers cells to the matrix and modulates integrin signaling. Its expression marks stable connective-tissue structures during development and repair. Antibodies to rat Fibulin 1 enable precise localization of elastic micro-fibrils and quantitative assessment of matrix remodeling in rat injury, fibrosis and cardiovascular models.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
