Specifications
Target Information
Rat coagulation factor XIII A1 polypeptide (FXIII-A1) is a 83-kDa catalytic subunit of factor XIII, a transglutaminase expressed in rat platelets, hepatocytes, and monocytes. It forms a tetramer with FXIII-B subunits in plasma, cross-linking fibrin monomers to stabilize blood clots post-coagulation. Intracellularly, it mediates protein cross-linking in tissues, regulating wound healing, tissue repair, and extracellular matrix integrity. Ubiquitously distributed in rat tissues-with high levels in liver and hematopoietic cells-it balances hemostasis and tissue remodeling. As a key regulator of coagulation and tissue repair, rat FXIII-A1 is a critical target for studying bleeding disorders, thrombotic diseases, and wound healing mechanisms.
