Rabbit Anti-Mouse Inhibin Alpha (INHa) Polyclonal Antibody
Product Overview
BioVenic rabbit polyclonal antibody is specific for mouse inhibin alpha. It is purified by protein A. It can be applied to WB, IHC, ICC and IP assays of mouse inhibin alpha.
Specifications
Target Information
Mouse inhibin α is a 26 kDa glycoprotein subunit whose N-terminal pro-region and three cystine-knot loops pair with βA or βB chains to form secreted inhibin A/B, antagonizing activin signaling via betaglycan sequestration. A solvent-exposed 14-aa "KVE" loop (aa 92-105) between the second and third cystine bridges folds into a β-hairpin unique among mouse TGF-β superfamily members, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after glycosylation and fixation. Affinity-purified antibodies targeting this loop trace native inhibin α in ovarian granulosa cells, testicular Sertoli cells, and anterior pituitary, delivering crisp cytoplasmic granules and single-band clarity on immunoblots with no cross-reaction to inhibin βA or βB subunits.
