Rat Chymotrypsin C is a pancreatic serine protease that selectively degrades dietary proteins and regulates the activation of other digestive enzymes. It is stored in zymogen granules and released into the duodenum upon hormonal stimulation. The enzyme cleaves peptide bonds at aromatic residues, generating smaller peptides for absorption. Antibodies to rat chymotrypsin C allow accurate localization and functional analysis of exocrine pancreatic activity in rat models.

This product is shipped with wet ice packs. Store at -20°C on receipt (up to 12 months). Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody.
