Target Information

Reactive oxygen species modulator 1 (Romo1), also known as senescence marker protein 30 (SMP30), is a novel protein with intriguing implications in cancer and cellular processes. ROMO1 is a located in the mitochondrial membrane and plays an essential role in regulating mitochondrial ROS production and redox sensing. It is involved in cellular processes such as cell proliferation, senescence, and death by regulating ROS generation within cells.
