Target Information

Smad1, a transcriptional modulator known as Mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 1, is crucial for numerous cellular processes, such as embryonic development, cell differentiation, and maintaining tissue homeostasis. Research reveals that mouse embryos deficient in Smad1 do not survive past approximately 10.5 days after implantation due to defects during implantation, underscoring Smad1's importance for implantation and early development of extraembryonic tissues. Moreover, the absence of Smad1 prevents the fusion of the yolk sac with the chorion, disrupting normal blood circulation formation in the embryo.

Target/Biomarker Mouse Smad1
