Target Information

Endophilin-A2 (also known as EEN or SH3GL1) is a multifunctional protein involved in various cellular processes. It belongs to the BAR domain protein family. Bovine Endophilin-A2 is encoded by the SH3GL1 gene in cattle. Research has found that endophilin-A2 specifically and functionally associates with very early uptake structures that are induced by the bacterial Shiga and cholera toxins, which both are clathrin-independent endocytic cargoes.
