Target Information

Rat Receptor-Interacting Serine/Threonine Kinase 3 (RIPK3) is a key regulator of necroptosis, a form of programmed cell death. It is activated in response to various stimuli, including TNF-α and viral infections, and interacts with other proteins to form the necrosome complex. RIPK3 phosphorylates MLKL, leading to the formation of pores in the plasma membrane and subsequent cell death. Its activity is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing the spread of pathogens. RIPK3 is an important target for studying cell death mechanisms and related diseases in rat models.
