Target Information
Rat Corticotropin-Releasing Hormone Binding Protein (CRHBP) is a protein that regulates the bioavailability and activity of corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) by binding to it. CRHBP is expressed in various tissues, including the brain, pituitary gland, and placenta. It modulates the stress response by controlling the levels of free CRH, which is a key regulator of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. CRHBP also plays a role in immune regulation and inflammatory processes. It is an important target for studying stress responses, neuroendocrine function, and related disorders in rat models.
