Rabbit Anti-Mouse Occludin (OCLN) Polyclonal Antibody

Mouse occludin is a 65-kDa transmembrane protein predominantly expressed in epithelial and endothelial tight junctions (TJs) of murine tissues (intestine, lung, blood-brain barrier). It forms complexes with claudins and zonula occludens proteins, stabilizing TJ structure to regulate paracellular permeability and maintain tissue barrier integrity. Beyond barrier function, it modulates signal transduction pathways involved in cell proliferation, differentiation, and inflammatory responses. Critical for murine mucosal defense, vascular homeostasis, and organ development, its dysregulation associates with inflammatory bowel disease, sepsis-induced barrier dysfunction, and neurodegenerative disorders. As a core component of TJs and barrier function mediator, mouse occludin is a key target for studying barrier pathobiology, inflammatory diseases, and barrier-protective therapeutics.
