Target Information

Mouse platelet glycoprotein Ib beta chain (GP Ibβ, GP1BB) is a 26-kDa transmembrane protein and critical component of the platelet GPIb-V-IX receptor complex. It stabilizes the complex on mouse platelet surfaces, mediating adhesion to von Willebrand factor (vWF) during vascular injury. Expressed exclusively in mouse megakaryocytes and platelets, it supports platelet activation, aggregation, and thrombus formation. Beyond hemostasis, it regulates platelet maturation and surface receptor trafficking. As a key mediator of platelet function and thrombosis, mouse GP1BB is a critical target for studying hemostatic disorders, thrombotic diseases, and platelet-related pathological mechanisms.
