Target Information
Rat TNF-like ligand 1A (TL1A, TNFSF15) is a 25 kDa trimeric type-II transmembrane protein whose C-terminal TNF homology domain engages death receptor 3 (DR3), driving Th1 and Th17 activation. A solvent-exposed 16-aa "KVE" loop (aa 120-135) between β-strands E and F folds into a β-hairpin unique among rat TNF ligands, presenting a conformational epitope preserved after cleavage and fixation. Affinity-purified antibodies targeting this loop trace native TL1A in splenic dendritic cells, lamina propria macrophages, and inflamed endothelium, delivering crisp surface and extracellular staining with single-band clarity on immunoblots and no cross-reaction to TNF-α or TL1B.
