Target Information
MAP34, also known as MAP34 protein, is a major non-neuronal microtubule-associated protein found in goats (Capra hircus). It is a member of the myeloid antimicrobial peptides (MAPs), which are also known as cathelicidins. It is a cationic antimicrobial peptide that plays a key role in mammalian innate immunity. MAP34 promotes microtubule assembly. It counteracts the destabilization of interphase microtubules during catastrophe promotion.
