Target Information

Apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1), encoded by the APOA1 gene in ducks, serves as the major component of HDL particles. Its primary role lies in lipid metabolism, particularly within the context of high-density lipoprotein (HDL). Interestingly, ApoA1 may become activated in ceased-laying ducks. Clinically, ApoA1 is frequently utilized as a biomarker for predicting cardiovascular diseases. Apo-AI is routinely measured using immunoassays such as ELISA or nephelometry.
