Target Information
Members of the ADAM family are cell surface proteins with a unique structure, possessing both potential adhesion and protease domains. Bovine A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase Domain-Containing Protein 10 is encoded by the ADAM10 gene in cattle. It is a sheddase, and has a broad specificity for peptide hydrolysis reactions. As a disintegrin and metalloprotease, it initiates regulated intramembrane proteolysis by shedding the ectodomain of a number of different substrates.
