Target Information
In rabbits, Endothelial lipase is encoded by the LIPG gene. First characterized in 1999, Endothelial lipase (LIPG) is a type of lipase secreted by vascular endothelial cells in tissues with high metabolic rates and extensive vascularization, such as the liver, lungs, kidneys, and thyroid gland. The function of LIPG in rabbits is mainly related to lipid metabolism and vascular health. It may regulate the function of HDL by breaking down lipids in HDL and plays an important role in cholesterol metabolism and vascular disease.
