Target Information
Mouse coagulation factor VII (FVII) is a vitamin-K-dependent glycoprotein synthesized in the liver and released into plasma. Upon vessel injury it complexes with exposed tissue factor to trigger the extrinsic coagulation cascade, generating activated factor VIIa and ultimately leading to thrombin formation and fibrin deposition. Its short half-life and low plasma concentration make FVII a sensitive marker for hepatic synthesis capacity and early coagulation events. Specific antibody detection enables precise localization of thrombogenic foci and quantitative assessment of hemostatic balance in trauma, sepsis and transgenic models without species cross-reactivity concerns.
