Target Information

Gastrin-releasing peptide (GRP), also known as GRP, is a neuropeptide that plays a significant role in various physiological and pathophysiological processes. Gastrin-Releasing Peptide is encoded by the GRP gene in pigs. GRP stimulates the release of gastrin from the G cells of the stomach. GRP is a mammalian bombesin (BN)-like peptide that plays a role in a number of important physiological functions via its receptor in most animals.
