Target Information
Myo1b is a motor protein with diverse roles in cellular processes. It's thought to be involved in crucial neuronal functions such as cell migration, neurite outgrowth, and vesicular transport. In mice, Myo1b has been implicated in cellular senescence, vascular dysfunction, and tumor progression. Notably, it plays a significant role in endothelial cell (EC) senescence. Research indicates that Myo1b levels are elevated in the vascular endothelial cells of aged mice. This upregulation leads to inhibited autophagy and increased oxidative stress, which in turn promotes endothelial cell senescence and vascular dysfunction.
