Target Information
Keratin 10 is essential for forming the epidermal barrier on the skin of the soles and aids in maintaining the development of cell layers and keratin filament bundles in the suprabasal cells of the epithelium. In mice, the Krt10 gene encodes this protein. In both neonatal and aged mice, KRT10 was mainly distributed in epidermal and basal cells. The expression of KRT10 in neonatal mice was significantly higher than that in aged mice, suggesting that KRT10 may play a regulatory role in the keratinization process of oral epithelium.
