Target Information
Fibrinogen beta chain (FGB), also known as factor I, is a protein found in humans and most other vertebrates with a similar system of blood coagulation. It serves as the beta component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein composed of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Fibrinogen Beta Chain is encoded by the FGB gene in pigs. FGB shows strong physical interactions with CALR. FGB exhibits strong physical interactions with CALR. It is a component of the coagulation system, and homozygous dysfunction of this gene results in afibrinogenemia and subsequent bleeding disorders.
