Target Information

Sphingosine kinase 1 is an enzyme encoded by the SPHK1 gene. The protein encoded by this gene catalyzes the phosphorylation of sphingosine to form sphingosine-1-phosphate (S1P), a lipid mediator with intracellular and extracellular functions. The protein and its product S1P play important roles in inflammatory, anti apoptotic and immune processes. The construction of the interaction networks indicated that SPHK1 was one of the key core nodes in Beijing-You chicken hens of different ages.
