Target Information
Annexin A4 is encoded by the ANXA4 gene in pigs. Annexin A4 is a member of the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. It belongs to the annexin family of calcium-dependent phospholipid binding proteins. Although their functions are still not clearly defined, several members of the annexin family have been implicated in membrane-related events along exocytotic and endocytotic pathways. ANXA4 is involved in regulating ion and water transport across the endometrial epithelium. Additionally, ANXA4 plays a role in the early phases of apoptosis, translocating from the nucleus to the cytosol during this process.
