Target Information

C-C motif chemokine 4, also known as MIP-1β, is a monokine with inflammatory and chemokinetic properties. As a member of the chemoattractant protein family, MIP-1β attracts specific immune cells, such as CD4+ T cells, to sites of inflammation or infection. It facilitates cell migration and proliferation by binding to its receptor, CCR5. In mice, MIP-1β primarily functions in immune regulation, inflammatory response, tumor suppression, and infection defense. Mouse models have demonstrated that MIP-1β enhances the antigen presentation ability of macrophages and promotes local inflammatory responses by inducing the production of superoxide anions.
