Target Information

Listeria seeligeri is a Gram-positive, facultatively anaerobic, motile, non-spore-forming, rod-shaped bacterium. It is non-pathogenic and was initially isolated from plants, soil, and animal feces in Europe. L. seeligeri is one of only three Listeria species that exhibit hemolytic activity, along with L. ivanovii and L. monocytogenes.
