Target Information

SPARC is a 40 kD glycoprotein encoded by the SPARC gene. In the chicken chorioallantoic membrane, research showed that SPARC is expressed in endothelial cells of newly formed blood vessels in a manner that is both temporally and spatially restricted. SPARC may act as an intrinsic regulator of angiogenesis in vivo.
