Target Information
Myosin Regulatory Light Polypeptide 9 is encoded by the MYL9 gene in pigs. MLC9 is a myosin light chain that plays a crucial role in muscle contraction. It has been suggested to play an important role in various cancers. It is predominantly expressed in cancer-associated fibroblasts of colorectal cancer tissues and may indirectly influence tumor biology and epithelial-mesenchymal transition by affecting the expression of cancer-associated fibroblast proteins.
