Target Information

Bovine Ribose-5-Phosphate Isomerase is encoded by the RPIA gene in cattle. RPIA catalyzes the conversion between ribose-5-phosphate (R5P) and ribulose-5-phosphate (Ru5P). It is a member of a larger class of isomerases that facilitate the interconversion of structural isomers of pentose. RPIA and transketolase (TKT), which are involved in glycerol metabolism and boosting erythritol manufacture, were co-overexpressed and significantly augmented erythritol development.

Target/Biomarker Bovine RPIA
