Target Information

Regucalcin, also known as senescence marker protein 30 (SMP30), is a highly conserved calcium-binding protein that plays important roles in various biological processes. Regucalcin is involved in calcium homeostasis within cells. It catalyzes an important step in L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) biosynthesis. Bovine Regucalcin is encoded by the RGN gene in cattle. It is a mammalian Ca2+-binding protein that plays an important role in intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis.
